Valor Christian Church

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Overview

This policy explains what the Valor Christian Church mobile app ("the app") collects, how it is used, and your choices. Questions? Email info@valorchristianchurch.com.

Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a securely stored password. When you message the pastoral team, we store those messages. When you RSVP to an event, we store that choice. If you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can send alerts.

How we use it

We use your information only to operate the app: to sign you in, to let you and the pastoral team communicate, to show your event RSVPs, and to notify you (for example, when a service is streaming live). We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Giving

Donations are processed by Tithe.ly on their own secure pages. The app never sees or stores your card, bank, or payment details. Please review Tithe.ly’s privacy policy for how they handle payment information.

Sermons and video

Sermon videos are hosted on YouTube and played through YouTube’s player. Watching a video is subject to Google/YouTube’s privacy policy.

Who can see your data

Your private messages are visible only to you and the church’s pastoral staff. Other members cannot see them. Access is enforced by security rules on our database, not just by the app.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete My Account in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, your messages, your RSVPs, and your device tokens from our systems.

Children

The app is intended for general church use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

Accounts are protected by passwords you choose, and data is stored with our backend provider (Supabase) over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
